Seat Belts

After trawling various web sites etc have decided upon Securon 514/30 inertia belts for my 1971 Sprite Mk4, would appreciate any feedback from other users. Am I right in choosing this make/model of belt and are there any problems with fitting them.

Not sure whether that's the right fit for your car, but fitting belts is relatively straightforward (unless you have an early car that never had belts, and would have to drill and fit mounting points).

For a later car, you should be set.

I bought my seatbelts from wesco.

I got the 2" racing lap belt. The center mounts on the gearbox tunnel. I am not quite happy with the attachment near the door. I have a bolt through the floor.

I have two bolts in the floor for my belts (placed a long time ago by the previous owner). Have always liked those racing belts...I'm jealous!

Have fitted the securon belts and very pleased with the results. Using the brackets supplied they just fit close to the roll cage. Luckily I'd taken the cage out to have it powder coated so making the job easier. Might be a bit of a fiddle with the cage in situ.
