The recommended amount of differential lubrication fluid is 1.75 pints, or about 0.87 quart,
or 28 fluid ounces.

My original Sprite owners handbook says...1 and 3/4 imperial pints or 1.0 litre. If I use the upper fill plug, and can get one liter in, not with the lower one.

Additional information from the factory shop manual states that the plug on the rear of the differential housing, is a filler-level plug, and is also a level indicator.

It is difficult to insert more than the factory recommended 1-3/4 pint of hypoid oil through this designated filler plug.
