Yes it can be done. I only have experience with the "A" series engines(948, 1098, 1275). You will have to remove the radiator, then unbolt both front motor mounts. You can jack up the engine enough to get a socket on the big bolt(1 5/16 as I recall). You should have enough clearance to remove the front pulley/harmonic dampener. I had to do this on my Bugeye that had a 1275 in it. Because of some slight damage to the body/frame I had to install the dampener after the engine was bolted in and had to remove it before I could pull the engine. Good luck.
