Winter Car Contest

Postby frogeye1959 » Thu Jan 17, 2008 2:06 pm

Now that we are all snuggled up warm and toasty inside our houses wouldn't it be a great time to have a Winter Car Contest? I, for one, am on my computer for hours and enjoy a good search game.

Your not out driving your Sprite? Sorry, it's a California thing.

I'd love to be out there, but since I have to drive with the top down (too tall) it might be a touch on the cool side. But lucky you!

Just got to be tough guys! January 1, 2007 dawned clear and sunny, with the high temp a balmy 23 degrees. I took my Bugeye out for a spin with the top down and vowed that I would drive it every month in 2007 with the top down (That's not much of a problem here April through October). I kept that vow. Just proves you CAN drive these cars year round, but I'm glad I don't have to.

Now my 2008 vow is... well, not the same as 2007's.

Hey--I saw a guy on his Harley on the way home from work today...'bout 16 degrees out.

Makes me want to take the Sprite out with the top down, but too much salt on the roads (otherwise I'd be game!)

Speaking of games--I'm up for a contest...anyone have some good ideas? (Still need to work on the server, so not sure I'll have the energy to dream something up, but a great idea!)

Game on!

Dan, I can do both of them. Did I mention that I picked up a new Harley over the summer? 2007 Softail Deluxe (Black & White). I am thinking about having the tins painted silver and red.

Dom--you really should match the scooter to the "airport racer"...that would be way cool (and could get both in some cycle mags then!)

Dan, You come up with the contest and I'll come up with some kind of prize.

Ah, I've finally figured out the Winter Car Contest, not the actual car, just how to play. You see the car is not shown and there are no clues. The ultimate contest. That leaves us to guess the car from every car ever produced, ever prototyped, ever thought of and ever modified. I'll start with a 1914 Baker Electric.
