I see them on ePay in the UK quite frequently while I have been looking for one for my MK II sprite. Shipping is the issue.

Al Adams in Madisonville, Tennessee had one for sale. I think it's still available. He was asking about $400 I believe.

That one on eBay doesn't have glass in it... if that's important to you.

Bugeye Hardtop

Postby sumr68 » Tue Nov 21, 2006 12:35 pm

I have a hardtop I have restored for our bugeye. Completely redone with new seals, re-chromed original front clamps and original wing-nut`s. The glass is original so there are scratches in it. We are selling the Bugeye so it`s avaliable separately. It`s located in Texas. $1000

Here is one on eBay w/ glass but needs some work. Not sure how much the reserve is.

I'm still looking for one. I don't have a lot of money, so the restored $1000 tops are out of my price range. Can I realistically expect to find something useable in the $300-$400 range or is that wishful thinking?

Thanks.

I think I should seriously look into importing some to the USA. I paid £50 (less than $100) on the weekend for an origainal Ashley Bugeye top to go with the other three in my garage.
Anyone know about shipping from UK to USA?
