Judson setup

Postby rmiller930 » Thu Mar 24, 2005 1:58 pm

Wondering if anyone knows what the jetting should be for a 1275 engine. I noticed the Holley that came with mine has a #58 jet in it, and assume that was set up for the 948. Also, what timing modifications, suggestions might anyone have. I toyed with using a Weber I have on this unit, but opted instead to start out with the stock Holley... Thanks, Rod

You would have to ask George, (if you are running a Judson) when I talked to him it only seemed like the difference when asking the engine size was for the pulley not the jetting. I replaced mine with a NOS Holley from a Ford and didn't do anything with the jetting and it runs great.

Judson jetting

Postby rmiller930 » Thu Mar 24, 2005 3:58 pm

Thanks for the reply... I was thinking about rebuilding my Holley, but ordered a new rebuilt instead... will be interesting to see what size they jet them as standard... the one that came with the Judson was a #58, George said a #62 was what he remembered being used for an MGB, so maybe somewhere in the middle... BTW, gorgeous car... I really enjoyed the pix, as I can relate to all the hard work... finished a nut bolt and screw restoration myself about 5 years ago on my 59...
