I have a 63' sprite +ive grounded. I don't want to the the conversion to -ive. I'm still trying to clean up the PO's "additional" wiring without ripping everything out and putting in a new harness ($$$!) - So- do I just switch the positive and negative wires on the install? please tell me its not that easy/hard?

Cheers!

You can hook the radio up backwards and it will work.
Red wire to positive (ground) and radio ground (including antennae) to hot negative) but you need to isolate the radio so it does not touch metal and ground out.
I used to do this with my 8 track tape player back in the day, It was wrapped up in electrical tape so it did not touch metal in the glove box.
I could not screw it to anything or it would be grounded.

After taking the stock BMC radio (not working) out and putting in a modest looking tape player with a line in for my ipod.... it lasted 5 minutes- didn't like the look of it. So I put the original back in for "looks" and am putting in an small amplifier with a line in directly to my ipod that goes straight to my new speakers. So all I need to do now is isolate the amp.

Electrical isolation: Use plastic or nylon bolts and washers ??
Lots o' tape helps too, as mentioned in a previous note.
