At long last I have fitted the quadoptics. The are particularly good on dip beam, although I will also fit relays at some stage. To put them into the early (bulb type) carrier rings, the cutouts have to be widened a bit, as the units are made to fit sealed beam carriers. The locating lugs on the new units have 2 levels, and you want them to sit in the ring at the lower level, so you have to widen the cutout.
Otherwise it's a straight swap, especially if you have a later car.
