Bugeye Main Ignition Switch

My 60 Bugeye came without a key (50 years ago), the original owner must have lost it and just rewired to a simple toggle for the ignition. I want to bring everything back to original when I do the dashboard restoration this winter. I bought a new key but it will only turn a little, I guess after this long it must be a little corroded in side. Moss shows the switch in 3 pieces. Can any one tell me how to take the switch apart. I don't want to make a mess with an original part.

That's one thing I've never had apart...but given that the light and ignition switch are "one unit" and that it's a very rare and expensive piece, I'd proceed carefully. There's got to be a way to do it...maybe someone else can help?
