It is hard to believe that this wire wheel axle /gear housing has not sold.

However, tell us more about the Alfa engine conversion in your Sprite. 1300 cc DOHC ?

It's a one off special using a '58/'59 Bugeye chassis and running a DOHC Iron Block 2 Liter with dual Solex 44 carbs (Now replaced with dual Webers) out of a '59 Alfa Type 102 Touring Spider with the Alfa transmission, modified MGA rear end, Sprite disc front brakes, and a handful of other modifications all done in the sixties by a gentleman who wanted to go racing against the more powerful makes. It's been being sorted for the past 6-7 months as the car was tucked away for 20 years and needed some TLC. Looking forward to getting it back on the road!

I figured that I would join in here with my question.
I have all the parts for a wire wheel setup that came from striping a WW car way back when.
Correct shorter rear axle assembly and every thing else, both front and back axles hubs and the 2 eared nuts.
Question is regarding the bearing carrier hubs for the rear setup. I notice that Moss list different carriers for the wire and disc wheels (although neither is available)
The bearing carriers hubs are mixed in with my collection of steel wheel rear bearing hubs.
Does any one know the difference?? Just want to get the correct bits with the right setup
I am not going to use the WW setup so all of this is for sale, NY area

I answered your question elsewhere. As far as I know, the wire wheel hubs have short studs and the steel wheel hubs have long studs. I believe that's the only difference.
