Clutch forks for 1098 and 1275 engines, from 1963 to 1974, have the same part number.

If you do not use the roller bearing release assembly, use the 1275 clutch release bearing (different than the 1098 design) with the 1275 clutch.
I used the 1275 clutch and 1098 flywheel combination for many years in a 1963 Sprite.

Hi Charlie.

And thanx for the answer.

The problem is , that with the std bearing , it is too short , to touch the clutch plate. What to do , what to do ?

There are different offsets with the factory release bearings.
I think that the 1275 bearing has the largest offset.
This bearing worked well with a 1275 clutch on a 1098 flywheel, and also with a 1275 clutch on a 948 flywheel.
The length of the clutch slave cylinder rod might need to be changed slightly ? (+1/4" ?)
