Gear box oil plug direction

Postby Froggy » Fri Aug 06, 2010 4:20 pm

HI,
I have just bought a bugeye and now I want to change the gear box oil.
I have identified the gear box refill oil plug and I have tried to remove the plug but it is kind of stuck.
Since I don't know if I should turn it clockwise or counter clockwise to remove the plug I don't want to use so much force.

Does anyone know in what direction I should turn the plug to remove it?
Many thanks.

It is a standard thread and should come lose by turning it counter clockwise.

When applying some force to it, it came of as expected.
Thanks.
