Recommended Lubricant for Datsun 210 5-Speed Conversion?

Postby healeynut » Mon Nov 03, 2008 11:48 am

Hello everyone,

What lubricant are you running in your Datsun 210 5-Speed Gearbox? Does anybody know what the OEM (Datsun) recommended when they were new?

Thanks,

Brian

Any API GL-4 rated oil, 2 1/2 pints.

Brian,
API GL-4 is what the service manual recommends. I use Red Line Oil MTL(Manual Transmission Lubricant). They also make a High Performance Gear Lube, 75w-90.
