POLL - What tranny are you using?

Postby admin » Wed May 26, 2004 11:55 am

I'm guessing a good proportion of Spridget owners have installed some type of transmission conversion.

So, let's find out what our members are using. If you'd complete the poll, we'll start getting some idea of what people are using.

Thanks!

When I bought my car I'd assumed it had a smoothcase "box" in it. It was a bit tired in anycase.
So I went ahead and sourced a very late model ribcase box which I had reco'd with all the best tweaks and fitted that.

As it turned out the old box was also a ribcase but I was able to sell that to offset costs.

The new "box" is getting better and better as it frees up.

I voted smoothcase. It works well, is the original one and still going strong after 300.000 km. Change oil every year and don t shift that quick through the gears.
Thats maybe the secret for a long life.

Cheers
