As far as transmission, a Nissan 5-speed , housing & clutch assembly, pedals,ECU,rear(narrowed),brakes, master cyl, slave unit, and most other goodies from 240sx may do nicely. I know some purists may cringe, but, I would enjoy a little reliability with my power.

I have one friend with a Toyota engine and trany in his Sprite. I don't know what car it came from but was done 20 years ago. He said that it has about 120 hp stock and he used a TR4 rearend that he welded the Sprite mounting hardware to. I talked to another guy who was putting a Mazda rotory in his early Midget about 10 years ago. He used an engine and trany from a Mazda truck I think. These are very light and don't require any changes to the front springs to keep the car up in front. Later, SpridgetBoy

Wasn't the '85 supra a straight six? or was that the '87?
