anyone done a 1500 or 1800 mg engine in an early body???and anyone got a mgb engine???

There is a '72 MGB in a junkyard where I live. The engine looks to be complete, although it will likely need a complete overhaul.

You'll probably find one closer to where you live, but LMK if you want me to grab this one for you (I can get a price for you as well).

thanks for the info but it would be better if it were a little closer to us but thanks anyways but i am also on britishcarforum so maybe someone there will bite

I have been told that 1500/1800 BMC engines are very heavy and require significant cutting (i.e. subframe rails) to fit. Not advisable.
