Hi guys fixed indicators it was one single strand of wire touching another,,, got something else now can a push start button be fixed to my car mg midget 1500cc 1978,, thanks

Glad to read that you found the wiring problem.

Push button start switch:

I do not have a wiring diagram for the 1500 Midget.
However, if the wiring is the same as for the earlier 1275 models, then
remove the white-red (WR) wire from the starter solenoid. This wire comes from
the ignition & starter switch.

Run a new wire from the same terminal on the starter solenoid, through the push button switch, and to then the non-ground side of the battery (or equivalent 12 volt location).
This arrangement will permit the starter motor to be engaged, even if
the ignition switch is off.

If you want the starter motor to be engaged only when the ignition is on,
then this new wire must be run to a switched 12 volt supply.

The solenoid might draw a lot of current, so connect the wire to a circuit
that has a high amperage fuse.
