Cam Torque setting

Postby Spriteguy999 » Thu Jul 16, 2015 1:42 pm

Hi all

I'm reassembling my 1275, cam is in, sproket on but I can't find for the life of me what the torque setting for the nut should be. I've found torque settings for everything else. I appreciate anyones help.

Thanks

The specification for the crankshaft pulley bolt is 70 foot-pounds,
and I have used this value for the camshaft sprocket nut.

MiniMania has a large table of torque settings,
and they list 60 to 70 foot-pounds for the cam nut.
