Datsun clutch and flywheel modification

Postby sg18438 » Tue Sep 24, 2013 9:59 am

I'm considering putting a Datsun 210 clutch in my 1275cc Bugeye. I've done some internet research on the process and am a bit confused. I understand and everyone seems to agree that the alignment dowels need to be relocated and that new mounting holes need to be drilled and tapped. But a couple of posts mention "machining a ridge off the flywheel" and another mentioned a need for a "spacer"...any validity to these requirements?
