This is kind of a before and after shot although I'm not done just yet but you get the idea of how it coming out. This is the top coat I went with it's called semi-flat black that is not as shinny as semi-gloss.

Not ready for primer just yet. I still have some surface rust I need to remove and a little more grease.

After allot of cleaning with de-greaser and wire brushes of many types to remove not only grease but any rust. I then coated it with a black self etching primer. It will be a semi-gloss or satin black finish.

Still need to do a little more cleaning up before I put it back on but you can see it's all in really good shape.

Got the differential carrier/housing cleaned up and put on, ready for etching primer. I will be replacing the seal while I can get to it easily.
