I found this in the trunk (boot) when I got the Midget home. I don't know if it was installed. I need to see if I can find a couple of "mystery" holes that match the mount. There is a Lucas High Performance Ignition coil and that was in the trunk too.

I'm going to say that this is NOT original. But I also think that it may be a dealer add on because there are no other holes on the doors or fenders where a mirror could have been.
UPDATE: Apparently mirrors were added on at the dealer back then. I will have no outside mirrors on the MKI.

Hum? Nut and washer in with the oil pressure release spring and valve. Any ideas? Was this a popular trick of some sort? I don't think it's a real good idea!
