59 Sprite Renovation
Front bracket close-up. Seemed like a solid location to grab the front end. Harbor Freight engine stands match up very well with the 2-3/8" Black pipe. I was very close to hitting the center of mass for the body. Yes, I'll tie the bases together... Note I used a wider stance for a stable platform. There are probably over a dozen ways to do a rotisserie, I'm not saying this is a great design, but my 60lb eleven year-old can rotate it from left vertical to right vertical, it rolls easy, seems very stable (even without tie bars) and I don't have too much time into it.

Rear Bracket close-up. Note the nickel size rust hole just behind the rear wheel where the wheel well did not drain. I installed drain holes on both sides. Everything else appears solid. We'll find out more after the media blaster has his way with it.. (carefully).

Backside. Pardon the primer, it was put on in Oct '75, wish they would have used a sealer.... Oh well, back to the media blaster to get back to bare metal. Body seems solid, Southern Calif was a good place to come from... :)

Many pin holes..... If we break the rear window, it will all be a waste...

Nice underside. A bit of seam sealer shouldn't hurt. We did replace the center frame plate (which a previous owner thought was the jacking location...)
